  1. Applicability: Research projects with teachers and students of the department as the subjects.
  2. Application method:

1. Project leaders shall apply to the department office after preparing the application documents.

2. In order to assist in the research with people other than teachers and students of the department as the project leaders, teachers and students of the department shall be employed as the co-leaders before applications are submitted.

  1. Documents to be attached to the application:

1. Application Form for a Research Project Proposed to the Department of Nursing (Attachment 1).

2. Letter from the institution must be attached for external applicants.

3. Graduate students shall apply together with their advisors.

4. Certificate of approval by the Institutional Review Board or Medical Ethics Committee.

5. Brief report on research project (including abstract, research significance, research objectives, research methods, and data analysis).

6. Research tools (including reliability and validity description, as well as letter of consent from the original author).

7. Subject consent.

  1. Review method: The “teacher development group” of this department will conduct a written review, and project leaders may be invited to attend the presentation if necessary. The review focuses on project integrity, significance and expected contribution of research, the feasibility of research methods, the safety of research subjects, and ethical considerations. The review results will be approved by the department chair, and applicants will be notified by official documents.
  2. Matters requiring cooperation from the department: After the review and upon evaluation of the actual demands, the department chair may hold an explanation meeting or explain the matters requiring cooperation in writing to the teachers and students of the department.
  3. Result report:

1. Within 3 months after the completion of the research, a brief research result report shall be provided to the department for archives.

2. For leaders who agree to publicly present their research results in seminars held by the department after submitting their applications, but fail to follow the procedures according to the regulations, their applications will not be accepted in the future.

  1. Other notes: For research projects conducted without applications or inconsistent with the original applications, upon investigation the department will immediately terminate them, will not accept future applications submitted by their leaders, and will notify the employers of the researchers depending on the severity.
  2.  The regulations shall be implemented with the approval of the department affairs meeting.
